this message really brightened up my day, thank you :)

wow!!! i'm honored that you read my post, thank you -- i'm glad it resonated :>

How does it feel to have outlived the general forum? For me, my disappointment is mild and my day is not at all affected xD

yeah yk i definitely don't find myself missing it too much -- i've been sincerely enjoying engaging with work through reviews and some DMs. The forums are good too, a little quiet I've found, but I find it's so much easier to actually connect here through the creative output itself these days anyway.

I miss photoshop threads tho :')

@JimmyTheCaterpillar Yeah, I don't miss the drama, or the politics, which I don't think had much of a place here to begin with. A lot of that has come to the supporter party forum now, easy enough to avoid and away from the public eye

I will say I've had more luck in the Audio and other forums getting traction than usual. Glad to hear that's your experience too!

Hey, I remember you. From the NG Chat days. I read this whole post.

I would similarly like to admit that when I was a kid on Newgrounds I did things that made people think I was a bastard. I'm scared to look at my old Flash movie and Flash game reviews (many of the things I said back there were just straight up pointlessly mean) - even though some of them were quite darkhorsey with the review audiences approving of them. An example of one that was positive and thrived was when I appreciatively reviewed certain cartoons by Barfquestion.

I also remember crazy review ratings from the voters on the website when the polls were quite anomalous, that said things like "There's some debate, but overall people think this is a useless review" and "People are fighting over how helpful this review is!" on the bottom of reviews I made, automatically.

I'm glad that I was in early to experience Newgrounds, but I started interacting with it when I was like 13, and I didn't behave so well. I got traumatized as a result. Though if I didn't come here in 2009 and explore a lot, I would have missed out on some big web history for sure. It's just a shame I went carelessly and naively with an incomprehensible Flash cartoon I made into General, not understanding my lack of self-awareness.

And yes, I realize I'm a year late.

Merry Christmas, Jimmy.
