agree

SkilledFella responds:

That's true.

it's a cute little gadget, something i love love love in newgrounds, but the color variants of the hearts seem a bit out of place, no? it's dark greens and browns and blacks -- where's the color and vibrancy? seems like a big missed opportunity in an otherwise cute thing.

Cyberdevil responds:

That is true! Not sure what I was going for with the color theme here... might've thought it looked cool. More a momentary aesthetic than real hearty art and all. If I ever do remake this...

"give me liberty or give me pizzapie" is one of the best scoobydoo quotes i never knew!!! thank you for this old gem :) great soundboard.

Cyberdevil responds:

They don't make 'em like they did the Scooby Doo crew anymore! :D Appreciate it!

Actually really enjoyed the chaotic vintage presentation here! The sounds were all very satisfying and enjoyable. Controls intuitive -- I would suggest maybe adding some toggle-able music? I like this kind of game!

Wreaker404 responds:

Thanks, m8. I definitely will add some background music. I have actually been learning how to compose midi music, so I will add a self-made track maybe.

basically engaging -- the jelly is kinda cute, and I'm unbothered by the bare-bones presentation, but some music or medals or any sense of point at all would be lovely. crazy classic is very funny but unrealistic to play, and the normal mode is dummy baby easy!! maybe some mode in between would be a more ideal difficulty.

BlueJacketPerson responds:

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, it's pretty bare-bones mainly because it was supposed to be a sort of simple test thing to see what I could do with the editor.

The "Crazy Classic" mode is basically how the game played in its original version (1.0). A criticism I got from people on other sites who played it was that the game was too fast and difficult, so for this version (1.1) I changed up the regular way of playing by slowing things down and also making it so that the first few items are not bombs and kept the old way of playing as a special mode. Like you've said, though, some stuff still needs improvement.

Currently, 1.2 is in development. One confirmed part of this upcoming update is the addition of sound effects (in order to hopefully add some more life to the game), and other changes might include further tweaking of game difficulties. I can't necessarily guarantee that the next version will necessarily improve everything significantly, but hopefully the upcoming version will be better than the current release.

Neat concept, and the difficulty curve was nice. However, the game does start out a little slow and it's boring for a minute. Also, for a game as simple as this, the audio and visuals were incredibly lacking. Spice up the graphics a bit, or add in some funky banana shop tunes.

Ultimately, this feels like the barebones template of a game that COULD be really fun.

xhunterko responds:

I could only do so much with what little time I did have. Thank you for playing though!

Truly a Michael Bay prodigy.
