super dreamy pleasant track!! was big chilling to it while it played in the bg! i think that long glitch effect was really brave and jarring as fuckkkk but i have a friend that insists music should seek to illicit more primal responses so sure i'll go with that!

Haha, sorry for scaring you with that transition!

00:45-1:00 i found myself piquing into the song
1:15~ a sour note i kinda noticed
2:27~ reintroduction of the drums here was in a satisfying place, not too obvious :)
2:36 that silent portion doesn't really work -- it's too brief and not defined enough; i literally just thought my phone had gone off or something! definitely consider the length of silence spaces! how much silence can quickly transfer one feeling to another.

OVERALL I liked this piece, I thought it was fun and moon-faced in a pleasant way, a midnight blue sky in my mind! I do feel like the tinny and repetitive aspects of the instrument soundsets you used draw things down a bit in the song as far as genuine replayability but the core is there! The feeling is there! I enjoyed my time with the song.

Thanks for the constructive feedback! I'll be sure to take it into account with any future pieces I create!

Thank you :))

This has been one of my favorite late night songs for years. Every time I get a new phone one of the first things I do is come and download this track. Thank you.

spikel responds:

Wow thank you!

This is a wild piece at its best and shoddily thrown together at its worst.

(0:00-0:38) - I really enjoyed the abrasive madness of the drums and the constant sampled "Yo"s coupled with those softer crooning undertones in the beginning, and it think it well establishes an idea of madness that to it's credit, the song holds true to all the way, I'd say.

(0:39-1:17) - The song loses me here. Probably the worst part of the song.. lacks any cohesive direction and really fails to even fit into the madness theme, instead just conveying random samples, and it's really noticeable.

(1:18-1:38) This part is interesting but still a little sloppy. A well-placed moment of solace followed by almost a sound of reloading, as if the boundaries were being stripped away once again.

The guitar works with the image but it brings forth that obvious sample feeling that's gross and works against itself while still contributing to the song. I think the underlying synth tied it together, however.

The piano at the end is very well balanced. However, the fact that the song has no resolution is garbage!
You really should have closed the song somehow.

Your control over sampling is really REALLY rocky right now but you have an ear for fun and harsh ideas! Keep it up and make something that melts everyone's brain on day!

whyd u review this. its a meme

I definitely took in the bright starry night atmosphere of this track! It was sweet.

I can tell by your description you know the issues with track.. it's a bit repetitious.

I enjoyed the climax and the ending was satisfying, too!

I'm glad I heard this song :)

wilidacious responds:

Ah, thanks for the input!

Pretty atmospheric and builds a very nice tension. This track gets done what it sets out to do and it does it very well. Nice job.

Vahnson responds:

ty. tried something new. my girl recommended it. thanks again.

This is different. And that's probably the best thing I can say about it. This track very easily allowed me to reach back in the recesses of my imagination and float away with it. This has an actual personality. Not just personality in that being "It sounds cool and unique hur hur." No, it feels as if this song that you've created has actual thoughts and emotions. It's not amazing, and at times, this song disappoints me. But it's different. Typically, this would make me dislike the track, and say "It let me down." It never got to that climax. With this song though, that's okay. It makes sense with the flow here. Like a human being, it's imperfect. But that's what makes this song so GOOD. I love this track. It's honest and genuine with itself, and I love it. By the time I was done listening to it, I felt like I was saying goodbye to an old friend.

Thank you for making this.

Migashi responds:

I spent a lot of time on this piece, so I do really appreciate it. You're very welcome :D

I don't really have much to say in the review section except that I enjoyed this quite a bit. I dug the piano a lot.

Also, this is the first time I extensively used the visualizers which, in my long time listening to NG songs, I've never really done. I really like this song, keep it up.

Lockyn responds:

I'm happy you enjoyed it that way - cheers!
